Who we are recruiting for:

Our client, a Vancouver based real estate development company, requires a Leasing & Administration Manager to join the on-site property management team. Reporting to the Property Manager and working closely with the Building Manager, you would primarily be responsible for leasing and lease administration for a 200-unit high rise property in the West End area of Downtown Vancouver.

Daily responsibilities:

Leasing and Marketing:

  • Respond to leasing enquiries proactively via phone calls or emails and coordinate suite and property tours in a timely manner

  • Collaborating with the Property Manager and others to most effectively market the property

  • Screen potential residents, including reference checks, to ensure a positive resident community

Lease Administration:

  • Rent collection administration and bank deposits

  • Coordinate and complete move-in and move-out condition inspections

  • Work closely with Head Office to ensure all lease documentation is complete, including parking, storage and bicycle agreements, etc.

Property Management and Operations:

  • Complete and submit to Head Office all paperwork related to service requests, requisitions, expense reports, incident reports, etc.

  • Provide day to day monitoring and minor preventative maintenance for the property and building equipment

  • Provide day to day monitoring and maintenance pertaining to fitness facility

  • Respond to resident service and maintenance requests in a timely manner

  • Facilitate and monitor service providers and trades on-site

  • Identify opportunities for efficiencies and improvements in the management of the property 

Building Safety and Security:

  • Ensuring that the property is a safe and secure environment for all residents

  • Work with the Property Manager to establish and maintain control over keys and security access devices, including issuing/programming devices, reconciling lost or stolen devices etc.

  • Responsible for the management of all security matters, including the physical condition of the property, access control and monitoring, resident (and visitor) behaviours, etc.

General:

  • Provide excellent customer service to all residents and trades at the property

  • Provide a strong, visible presence for the Company on the property

  • Maintain excellent communication with the Building Manager and the Property Manager as it relates to the management and operation of the property

  • Perform other duties as required to properly manage the property

  • 5-day week – willing to work weekends (when necessary) and take after-hours calls

  • Other duties as assigned by the Property Manager and Company management from time-to-time

  • The successful candidate will be highly motivated, with excellent communication, customer service and interpersonal skills

Experience/skills required:

  • Previous experience in residential leasing

  • Excellent tenant/customer relations

  • Solid proficiency with computer software, including MS Office

  • Excellent organization and communication skills

  • Professionally presented and ambitious attitude

Compensation offered:

  • $60,000 – $70,000

  • Discretionary annual bonus

  • 3 weeks’ vacation
